Semarang - The International Collaborative Conference on Multidisciplinary Science (ICCMS) 2024 was successfully held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, online through the Zoom platform. The seminar was organized by the International Forum of Researchers and Lecturers (IFREL) with support from various national and international academic associations.
The event began at 08.00 WIB with a participant re-registration session coordinated by Sinta Nugraheni, S.Kom, Dila Puspitasari, S.E, and Ulya Laksitala, S.Kom.
At 09.00 WIB, the event was officially opened by Shelly Gherina Saptiany, S.Pd., M.Pd., followed by singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya led by Adinda Maharani Putri. The opening prayer was led by Muhammad Haris, M.Pd., creating a solemn and energetic atmosphere.
An opening dance performed by Mrs. Alleta and the team opened the ceremonial session. After that, Danang, S.Kom., M.T., as the Chairman of the Committee, delivered an activity report, followed by the inauguration of the LPKD Building by Mrs. Sunarmi, S.Kom., M.M., which was preceded by a blessing prayer by Pastor Yurianto, S.Th..
The screening of IFREL's profile video as well as the opening of ICCMS 2024 was lively. In this session, photos of the founders and co-hosts of the event were displayed, as well as the distribution of plaques to partners who have supported the success of the seminar.
The opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Edy Winarno, S.T., M.Eng., who emphasized the importance of global collaboration to address multidisciplinary challenges.
The keynote speech session presented:
Dr. Lukman, S.T., M.Hum. (Director of Resources at the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology, Ministry of Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia), who discussed the role of higher education in multidisciplinary innovation.
Dr. Bhimo Widyo Andoko, S.H., M.H. (Head of LLDIKTI Region VI Central Java), through video remarks, highlighted the importance of synergy between higher education institutions.

Dr. Majid Khan Majahar Ali (Universiti Sains Malaysia): Discussing cross-country research collaboration.
Dr. Husni Teja Sukmana, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. (Rector of Syarif Hidayatullah University Jakarta): Addressing the importance of digital innovation in education.
Dr. Juniana Husna, S.Si., M.Sc. (Ministry of Communication and Digital RI): Reviewed digital communication policy for sustainability.
Prof. Dr. Masrukhi, M.Pd. (Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang): Emphasized the importance of local values-based education.
Dr. Hc Vicente Pironti (University Humaniza, Brazil): Discussed social challenges in global policy implementation.
Md. Abdul Malak, Ph.D. (Jagannath University, Bangladesh): Focused on environmental issues and resource management.
Nelufer Nazrul, M.Phil. (University in Bergen, Norway): Discussed social integration in international education.
An interactive discussion session hosted by Dr. Retnowati, S.Si., M.Sc., gave participants the opportunity to ask questions directly to the speakers. This dynamic Q&A discussed strategic issues from various perspectives.
The first day of the event was closed with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between academic institutions, led directly by the committee, at the LPKD Building.
The Chairman of the Committee, Danang, S.Kom., M.T., expressed his gratitude to all parties who had contributed. He emphasized that this seminar is not only a forum for discussion, but also the first step for collaborative research and scientific development at the global level.
ICCMS 2024 has provided valuable experiences for the participants, bringing together various cross-disciplinary thoughts to produce innovative and sustainable solutions in answering world challenges.
